This theme owns Chinese robotics companies where robots are the actual product rather than a slide in the deck. It covers three layers of the machine. Bodies: UBTech in humanoids, Dobot in collaborative arms, ROKAE and Estun in industrial robots, Geek+ in warehouse mobile robots. Joints and actuators: Laifual makes harmonic reducers, the precision gearbox inside every robot joint, and Zhaowei makes the micro-drives used in robotic hands. Control and perception: Seer supplies robot controllers, RoboSense supplies lidar and 3D perception. Almost all of these listed in Hong Kong between mid-2025 and mid-2026 under the Chapter 18C regime for pre-profit technology companies. What drives it: factory automation spending, humanoid production ramps and China's push to raise robot density. The main risk is valuation and timing — most constituents are loss-making, humanoid volumes remain small, and 18C lockup expiries create share-supply overhangs.
