Key Takeaways:
- OpenSea now supports Solana NFT trading on its OS2 multi-chain marketplace
- Solana becomes first non-EVM network for NFT trading since 2022 beta
- Integration follows four-year development as broader NFT market contracts
Key Takeaways:

OpenSea now supports Solana NFT trading across its OS2 marketplace, four years after an initial beta covered 165 collections before being discontinued.
"OpenSea should be the home for everything you collect, no matter which chain it lives on," Devin Finzer, co-founder and CEO of OpenSea, said. "Solana NFTs are now available right alongside its tokens on OpenSea."
The integration makes Solana the first non-EVM network for NFT trading on OpenSea since the 2022 beta ended. OS2, which completed its public rollout in May 2025, supports NFTs and fungible tokens across more than 19 blockchain networks including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Monad, Sei, and Berachain. Users can now access collections including Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, BoDoggos, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals.
The rollout comes as NFT trading volumes remain far below their 2021-2022 peaks, with monthly marketplace volumes at a few hundred million dollars compared with billions during the boom. Several platforms have exited the space — Binance closed its NFT service in June, while Nifty Gateway, Kraken NFT, and X2Y2 shut down. OpenSea's expansion into Solana puts it in direct competition with Magic Eden and Tensor, which have dominated Solana NFT trading.
Magic Eden recently closed its Bitcoin and EVM marketplaces as it shifted attention back to Solana, while Tensor remains active in the ecosystem. OpenSea's entry into Solana NFT trading follows its April 2025 addition of Solana fungible token support, part of a broader strategy to consolidate multiple asset types into one interface.
The company has also discussed a future SEA governance token, though that launch has faced delays. OpenSea said OS2 aims to bring several types of on-chain assets into one interface, giving traders access to collectibles and tokens without switching across separate marketplace products.
Full integration details around wallet connections and transaction mechanics have not yet been fully disclosed by OpenSea, with more announcements expected as the integration matures. The first wave of users trading Solana NFTs on OpenSea will effectively test the integration's reliability, and any friction in wallet setup or fee clarity could push collectors back to Solana-native platforms.
