Ethena's ENA token rose 10% intraday as the Ethena Pay launch drew fresh on-chain activity and whale flows, leaving it inside a $0.13-$0.19 decision zone.
Network data shows active addresses climbing across 24-hour, seven-day and 30-day windows, while whale transactions above $100,000 and $1 million also increased, pointing to broader participation rather than a single short-lived spike.
Ethena, the protocol behind the USDe stablecoin on Ethereum, launched Ethena Pay as an "internet money neobank" offering 5 percent card-spend cashback, a 6 percent dollar savings rate, free global transfers and free onramps in USD, GBP, EUR and local currencies. The product adds multi-currency savings accounts, IBAN integration with self-custodial stablecoin accounts and a "Buy Now Pay Never" feature, and is live for iOS users.
A golden cross formed on the daily chart between the 50-day and 200-day EMA bands, adding a technical bullish signal. But the $0.13-$0.19 range still needs to resolve: a break above opens $0.25 and $0.40, while a failure below $0.13 could expose $0.10 and potentially $0.07.
The rising whale counts do not automatically mean accumulation, but combined with the climb in active addresses they give ENA a stronger fundamental backdrop than it had previously. The product push extends Ethena beyond its existing stablecoin business, where USDe competes with other yield-bearing dollar tokens on Ethereum, and gives the token a consumer-facing use case that its peers largely lack.
The technical setup remains the near-term test. Golden crosses are lagging indicators — they form after the move has already been priced into the moving averages — so the $0.13-$0.19 zone, not the cross itself, will decide whether the 10 percent gain extends. A sustained close above the range would put $0.25 and $0.40 in play, while a drop back below $0.13 would shift focus to $0.10 and $0.07.
For traders, the divergence between the bullish cross and the unresolved price range is the key tension. ENA's move also tracks broader altcoin risk appetite, which remains sensitive to Bitcoin dominance; a turn lower in the largest token tends to pull smaller caps down with it. Until the range breaks, the 10 percent intraday gain reads as momentum building rather than a confirmed trend change.
