Enterprise software vendors with embedded AI capabilities are drawing investor inflows as the adoption cycle accelerates beyond the Magnificent Seven.

Enterprise AI adoption is broadening beyond infrastructure providers into application software, with SAP and ServiceNow each rising more than 5% at the July 24 open as investors rotated into companies monetizing AI through existing customer bases.
"The market is recognizing that AI revenue is no longer just about GPU sales — it's flowing through to the software layer where vendors have existing distribution," Alex Nguyen, Edgen's enterprise software analyst, said.
SAP gained 5.3%, while ServiceNow rose 5.1%. Figma climbed 4.2%, and Workday, Salesforce, and Adobe each advanced more than 2%. The moves came without a single company-specific catalyst, suggesting a sector-wide repricing of AI software exposure.
The rally implies investors are betting that AI features embedded in existing enterprise platforms will drive faster revenue growth and margin expansion than the market had priced. ServiceNow's Q2 2026 subscription revenue grew roughly 24% year over year, with AI-related bookings up 40% sequentially and agentic deployments rising 9x in nine months, according to a Seeking Alpha analysis. Salesforce, by contrast, posted organic growth of about 7%, highlighting the divergence in execution.
The gap between the two companies' growth trajectories has narrowed on valuation but widened on fundamentals. ServiceNow's enterprise value-to-forward-revenue multiple has compressed to roughly 6.5 times, closing the gap with Salesforce, according to the same analysis. Yet ServiceNow's organic growth rate of about 18.75% still more than doubles Salesforce's 7%, making the relative valuation more attractive for growth-oriented investors.
SAP's 5.3% gain reflects its own AI momentum. The German software giant has integrated its Joule AI assistant across its cloud portfolio and reported accelerating cloud revenue growth in recent quarters. Figma, the design collaboration platform, has added AI-powered design generation features that expand its addressable market beyond professional designers into product management and marketing teams.
Workday, Salesforce, and Adobe each rose more than 2%, a narrower gain that may reflect their earlier-stage AI monetization. Workday has introduced AI tools for HR and finance workflows, while Adobe's Firefly generative AI models are embedded across its Creative Cloud and Experience Cloud suites. Salesforce has launched its Einstein AI platform and Agentforce, though its slower organic growth rate has kept a lid on multiple expansion.
The sector-wide move suggests a rotation within tech: investors who loaded up on AI infrastructure names — Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD — are now seeking exposure to the application layer where AI-driven pricing upgrades and usage-based billing could lift average revenue per customer. Enterprise software vendors with net revenue retention above 120% and large installed bases are best positioned to capture that uplift, analysts said.
