Tenaris S.A. (NYSE: TS) appointed 25-year company veteran Gabriel Podskubka as its new Chief Executive Officer, a move that completes a long-term leadership transition at the steel tube manufacturer.
"The appointment of Gabriel Podskubka reflects the culmination of a long-term leadership planning process," the company's Board of Directors said in a statement. Paolo Rocca, who has led Tenaris for the past 25 years, will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board.
The leadership change is effective immediately. Mr. Podskubka has served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer since 2023, where he coordinated sales, marketing, and production operations. He joined Tenaris in Argentina in 1995 and has held numerous senior roles, including president of the company's Eastern Hemisphere operations from 2013 to 2023.
The board praised Mr. Rocca for his "outstanding leadership in building Tenaris into the clear global leader that it is today," noting he has been the architect of the company's continuous growth. The transition seeks to combine Podskubka's operational expertise with Rocca's strategic vision from the Chairman's role. This move ensures continuity while positioning Tenaris for its next phase of growth. Investors will watch for Mr. Podskubka's initial strategic priorities and any shifts in capital allocation.
