Quip Confirms Free, Points-Based Airdrop
Quip Network, a quantum computing platform backed by Portal Ventures and Orange DAO, has officially confirmed an airdrop for its native $QUIP token. The project, which enables developers to run quantum computing jobs on-chain, will reward early participants through a points-based system. Allocation of the $QUIP token will be determined by the total points users accumulate before the token generation event (TGE).
Participation in the airdrop campaign is entirely free, requiring no token purchases or on-chain transactions. Users earn points by completing a series of one-time and recurring tasks designed to build the protocol's community and developer ecosystem. This structure rewards engagement and evangelism rather than capital contribution, distinguishing it from capital-intensive airdrop farms.
Daily Tasks Drive Airdrop Allocations
The primary method for accumulating Quip Points is through consistent daily and social engagement. Users receive an initial batch of points for connecting social accounts and completing one-time tasks, such as following Quip on X (Twitter), Discord, and Telegram for 25 points each. Starring the project's GitHub repositories awards an additional 5 points per repository.
However, the most significant point accrual comes from recurring activities. A daily check-in on the quest page yields 15 points, while a referral system allows users to earn 10% of the points accumulated by anyone they refer. New users signing up with a referral link receive 50 bonus points. With referrals capped at three per day, consistent daily check-ins and active user invitations are the core strategies for maximizing a potential $QUIP allocation.
Mainnet Launch and Token Targeted for Q2 2026
Quip Network has set a long-term timeline for its launch, with the mainnet currently projected for the second quarter of 2026. The $QUIP airdrop is expected to coincide with this milestone, though a specific TGE date has not been announced. The extended timeline suggests the points campaign is designed to foster a dedicated community over the next two years.
Since missed daily check-ins cannot be recovered, the system inherently favors users who participate consistently over a long period. The final conversion formula from points to $QUIP tokens remains undisclosed, but the protocol has confirmed that higher point totals will directly correlate to larger token allocations.
