Ondas Holdings Inc. (ONDS) reported that fiscal year 2025 revenue jumped 605% to $50.7 million as its autonomous platforms scaled, though rising operating costs kept the company from achieving profitability.
"Mistral brings established access to key contract vehicles, a U.S.-based manufacturing and integration footprint, and deep customer relationships across UAVs, loitering munitions, and ground robotics-directly aligned with the core segments of our platform," Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO at Ondas, said. "Together, we are strengthening our ability to deliver mission-ready systems to U.S. government customers at scale."
The explosive year-over-year revenue growth was detailed alongside a significant increase in the company’s backlog, which now stands at approximately $457 million as of March 31. The recent acquisition of U.S. defense contractor Mistral contributed about $264 million to the secured backlog. Consensus estimates for revenue and earnings-per-share were not available. Looking ahead, Ondas raised its 2026 revenue target to at least $375 million and is guiding for first-quarter 2026 revenue between $38 million and $40 million.
Shares of Ondas are on track for their best month in 2026, gaining nearly 20% in April. The gains reflect a strategic shift, including the $175 million Mistral acquisition, to transition Ondas into a fully integrated defense prime contractor with expanded access to U.S. military and federal programs.
The company's strategic acquisitions are reshaping its scale and scope. Earlier in April, Ondas also finalized its acquisition of World View Enterprises, expanding into high-altitude intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. These deals provide Ondas with direct access to procurement channels within the U.S. Army and Special Operations, allowing it to offer integrated autonomous defense platforms.
While the revenue and backlog figures show significant top-line momentum and market traction, the company's inability to reach profitability highlights the high costs associated with its rapid scaling and integration efforts.
The raised guidance and massive backlog growth signal strong commercial and defense demand for Ondas' autonomous systems. Investors will now watch the upcoming first-quarter 2026 results to see if margins begin to improve as the newly acquired contracts and expanded operations achieve greater scale.
