Ethereum drew $244.9 million in ETF inflows last week while network fees fell 99%, aligning a bullish macro fractal.
Ethereum spot ETFs pulled in $244.9 million last week, their strongest intake since April, as network fees fell 99% and a bullish macro fractal aligned.
The weekly haul extended a five-week inflow streak that has brought roughly $566 million into the products, SoSoValue data shows. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust, or ETHA, accounted for about $203 million of the total — more than 80 percent of the category's inflows.
The Ethereum intake combined with $853.5 million flowing into US spot Bitcoin ETFs to push combined crypto ETF inflows close to $1.10 billion for the week ended Aug. 7. BlackRock's IBIT captured $693 million of the Bitcoin total, meaning the two iShares funds absorbed roughly $896 million, or more than four-fifths of all new money entering the two groups.
The 99 percent reduction in Ethereum network transaction costs improves the chain's usability and competitiveness against rival layer-1s, potentially drawing more users and reinforcing a positive feedback loop with institutional demand. ETH traded near $1,920 as of the Asian session, with the technical setup pointing to further upside if that level holds.
The fee decline comes as capital concentrates in the largest crypto products. Solana ETFs drew just $145,000, down from $7.2 million two weeks earlier, while XRP funds added $1 million after a $14.9 million intake the prior week. Hyperliquid's HYPE ETFs returned to net inflows of $2.84 million after three weeks of redemptions totaling $30.6 million, SoSoValue data shows.
The split points to investors funneling fresh money into Bitcoin and Ethereum while trimming smaller altcoin wrappers. Bitcoin ETF cumulative net inflows now stand at $52.18 billion since launch, with net assets of $79.50 billion — roughly 6.10 percent of Bitcoin's entire market capitalization.
The combination of sustained institutional inflows, lower transaction costs, and a bullish technical pattern could drive meaningful upside for ETH and the broader crypto market. The next test comes as the five-week Ethereum inflow streak faces a potential pullback in demand, with traders watching whether ETH can hold above $1,920 to confirm the fractal.
