Over $230M in Tokens Enter Circulation This Week
The cryptocurrency market is bracing for a significant liquidity event as more than $230 million worth of tokens are scheduled to be unlocked between March 23 and March 30, 2026. This supply increase affects several prominent projects, with Humanity Protocol (H) and Jupiter (JUP) leading the one-time cliff releases that pose a risk of immediate selling pressure.
The largest unlock event features Humanity Protocol, which will release 105.35 million H tokens on March 25, representing 1.05% of its total locked assets. On the same day, Particle Network (PARTI) will release 89.29 million tokens. These are followed by a notable unlock for Jupiter (JUP), which will see 53.47 million tokens enter the open market. Other projects with unlocks include Worldcoin (WLD) with 37.23 million tokens and even Solana (SOL), which will add a more moderate 471,220 SOL to its circulating supply.
Cliff Unlocks Pose Acute Volatility Risk
The structure of these unlocks is critical for assessing their market impact. Projects like Humanity Protocol, Jupiter, and Particle Network are executing "cliff" unlocks, where a large volume of tokens becomes available all at once. This model creates a higher potential for sharp price volatility as early investors and team members may decide to liquidate their holdings simultaneously. This contrasts with "linear" unlocks, such as those scheduled for Official Trump (TRUMP) and Worldcoin (WLD), which release tokens gradually over time and typically result in more predictable, sustained selling pressure.
Market sentiment ahead of these events is mixed. Humanity Protocol's token (H) has already dipped 0.77% to $0.09439, suggesting some investor apprehension. In contrast, Jupiter (JUP) has gained 1.22% to trade at $0.1542, while Particle Network (PARTI) has risen 13% to $0.09207. These divergent price movements indicate that while large-scale supply increases are a structural headwind, project-specific demand and investor confidence will ultimately determine how well the new liquidity is absorbed.
