Beijing Ingenic (300223.SZ) cleared the HKEX Main Board listing hearing, with FY2025 revenue of RMB4.74 billion, according to exchange filings.
The prospectus shows the company is a provider of "storage + computing + analog" chips, with products deployed across automotive electronics, industrial and medical applications, and AIoT and intelligent security devices. Guotai Haitong acts as the sole sponsor for the offering.
For FY2023, FY2024 and FY2025, the company recorded revenue of approximately RMB4.53 billion, RMB4.21 billion and RMB4.74 billion, respectively. Profit for the same periods was approximately RMB516 million, RMB364 million and RMB375 million. For the three months ended March 31, 2025 and 2026, revenue reached RMB1.06 billion and RMB1.56 billion, while profit was RMB73.7 million and RMB320 million, respectively.
The first-quarter 2026 profit of RMB320 million represents a 334 percent jump from RMB73.7 million in the year-ago period, reflecting accelerating demand across the company's end markets. Revenue for the quarter grew 47 percent year over year to RMB1.56 billion, the strongest quarterly growth in the reported periods.
The A-share closed down 5.5 percent at the time of the announcement, while HKEX (00388.HK) rose 0.6 percent. Short selling on the stock reached $81.8 million, representing a ratio of 12.9 percent. In a separate development, Citi lowered its HKEX price target to HKD495 while maintaining a Buy rating, citing resilient average daily turnover growth with second-quarter earnings expected up 13 percent year over year.
The dual listing would give Beijing Ingenic access to international capital markets as it expands its chip portfolio across automotive, industrial and AIoT segments. The company's positioning as a "storage + computing + analog" chip provider differentiates it from pure-play semiconductor peers, offering exposure to multiple high-growth end markets. The Hong Kong listing also provides a hedge against A-share market volatility and broadens the investor base for the Shenzhen-listed company.
Investors will watch for the offer price and listing date in the coming weeks as the company moves toward a formal launch on the Hong Kong exchange. The listing hearing approval marks a key milestone in the company's dual-listing strategy, and the final pricing will determine the valuation premium or discount relative to its A-share trading level.
