Morgan Stanley disclosed 6,715 shares in the Franklin XRP ETF and two other XRP funds in its Q2 2026 filing, as XRP held near $1.
The Form 13F, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Aug. 14, also lists 255 shares in the REX-Osprey XRP ETF and 67 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF, according to the bank's quarterly disclosure. The positions add to Morgan Stanley's earlier holdings in the Grayscale XRP ETF and the Volatility Shares XRP ETF reported in the first quarter.
The bank, which manages more than $1.9 trillion in assets, also reported 50,540 shares in Armada Acquisition Corp II, a special purpose acquisition company tied to Evernorth Holdings, a Ripple-backed firm building an XRP treasury. The disclosure follows JPMorgan Chase's Q2 filing, which showed stakes in the Bitwise and Grayscale XRP funds and the same SPAC.
Spot XRP ETFs in the US recorded $2.25 million in daily net inflows, lifting cumulative inflows to $1.51 billion, while total net assets stood at $942.25 million as of Aug. 13, SoSoValue data shows. The Bitwise XRP ETF was the only product in its category to post positive flows during the week, even as assets under management slipped from a prior high above $1.25 billion.
XRP traded near $1.01, down about 72 percent from its peak, with a market capitalization of roughly $163 billion. Trading volumes fell 22 percent over the prior day, though the number of wallets holding more than one million XRP grew, suggesting accumulation among large holders. XRP futures open interest declined 1.23 percent to $2.69 billion, while open interest on CME products rose 1.84 percent in one hour, pointing to renewed institutional activity in derivatives.
The disclosures from Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan mark the latest sign that large US banks are building exposure to XRP-linked products even as the token trades well below its January 2025 peak of $3.30. The $1 level remains the key support for XRP; a sustained break below it could trigger further selling, while holding above may help the price stabilize as institutional interest in XRP funds grows.
