Bitwise added $107.4 million of Solana across 20 sessions, taking its SOL stack to roughly $918 million while the wider Solana ETF market goes nowhere.
Arkham Intelligence data shows the asset manager's Solana fund drew fresh capital on most days of the stretch, with only two of the 20 sessions recording outflows. The buying pushed Bitwise's position past 9,030,000 SOL as of September 10, worth about $918 million at a Solana price near $101.
The accumulation runs against the flow trend elsewhere in the category. Solana ETF products have drawn modest and uneven demand, and Bitwise's purchases represent a single-entity concentration that the wider market has not matched. That gap is the story: one manager is adding at scale while aggregate ETF appetite stays thin.
Bitwise now sits within about $82 million of a $1 billion Solana position. Reaching that level would make its fund one of the largest single holders of the token outside Solana's founding ecosystem, and would give the firm a benchmark it can market to allocators weighing whether to add SOL exposure.
The purchases also function as a price signal. Solana has traded under pressure through the period, and Bitwise's steady buying suggests it is treating the weakness as an entry point rather than a reason to wait. If other managers follow, the thin ETF demand that has defined the category this year could reverse; if they do not, Bitwise carries the concentration risk alone.
Solana's price near $101 is the level to watch. A move higher would lift the value of Bitwise's existing stack without further purchases, while a drop toward the low $90s would put the $1 billion milestone further out of reach and test whether the firm keeps adding at the same pace.
