Google Cloud's adoption of Rezolve AI's distributed database marks the small-cap's first hyperscaler deployment, sending shares up 22% in a single session.

Google Cloud has deployed Rezolve AI's distributed database to power the indexing and data pipelines behind its Web3 blockchain datasets, handing the $1.2 billion small-cap its first hyperscaler win and sending shares up 22%.
"Google's selection is independent confirmation of technology we have developed over many years and of the infrastructure strategy we outlined to shareholders earlier this year," Daniel M. Wagner, chairman and CEO of Rezolve AI, said.
The initial deployment covers complete historical records from 10 blockchain networks, roughly 100 terabytes of data. Every block passes six cryptographic checks plus schema, structural, and cross-reference verification before reaching Google Cloud's public datasets. Rezolve disclosed no contract value, term, or revenue contribution in the announcement, leaving the deal's economics unquantified.
The win lands as global AI infrastructure spending on data ingestion, integration, and preparation is forecast to grow from $109 billion in 2025 to $295 billion annually by 2030, per S&P Global Market Intelligence. Rezolve reports first-half results Sept. 1, with preliminary H1 revenue of about $127 million and a full-year target of $360 million.
Google's adoption is proof-of-concept that Rezolve's platform can pass a top-tier hyperscaler's technical evaluation. But with no contract value disclosed, Tuesday's 22% pop rested on the strategic headline alone. The next session brought profit-taking: RZLV fell 4% to $2.84 while Alphabet held flat at $346.59, down 0.1%. The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF fell 2% to $100, confirming broad software selling rather than company-specific news. Peers C3.ai, UiPath, and Pegasystems each slipped 1% to 2% in the same session.
The deployment also shows Rezolve's broader push beyond its AI commerce roots. The London-based company, which also sells brainpowa models, TraceWare, and Auditable AI, launched Rezolve Provenance weeks before the Google win to authenticate AI-generated content under the EU AI Act. Recent integrations with Microsoft Foundry and Zilch suggest a deliberate pattern of embedding its database across hyperscale and financial environments.
Rezolve trades at roughly 20 times sales, a premium multiple that demands premium growth. The company guided to about $360 million in 2026 revenue, with an annualized run rate near $232 million. Analysts project $971.7 million revenue and $117.6 million earnings by 2029, requiring 174.9% yearly revenue growth. The Sept. 1 report will show whether hyperscaler integrations convert into structural, high-margin software revenue.
The market mechanics behind Tuesday's move warrant caution. Trading topped 90 million shares against an average daily volume of roughly 8.4 million, while borrowing costs for short sellers spiked past 74% and reached as high as 150% annualized before retreating. That combination points to retail momentum and short-covering dynamics that can reverse once forced buying subsides, even as institutional ownership sits near 28% with funds like Geode Capital and JPMorgan holding positions.
Analyst price targets average $11.42, versus a share price near $2.90, but the gap narrows only if the Sept. 1 report shows the Google win translating into recurring revenue. For Alphabet, the same deployment is a rounding error against a market cap above $4 trillion — Berkshire Hathaway recently boosted its stake to nearly $37.8 billion — which is why GOOGL barely moved on the news.
