Injective's 45.7 percent weekly rally to near $5.95 rests on a regulatory milestone, a supply cut, and a breakout test at $6.
Injective rose 45.7 percent over the past week to near $5.95 after Injective Institutional Services secured US SEC registration as a transfer agent on Aug. 19.
The registration lets Injective Institutional Services maintain official securities ownership records and support transfers, distributions and corporate actions, Injective said.
The token added 10.9 percent in the last 24 hours, climbing from about $5.30 to nearly $6.00. CoinMarketCap data shows the August Community BuyBack, created under IIP-617, could remove more than 33,000 INJ from circulation.
A sustained break above the 4-hour Donchian upper level at $6.01 would put the June peak near $7.00-$7.20 in play, while failure to clear $6 could pull INJ back toward $5.50.
SEC registration opens regulated rails for tokenized securities
The approval adds a regulated component to infrastructure long tied to crypto-native markets. Registered transfer-agent services can now combine with Injective's blockchain when securities are issued and managed on-chain, giving the network a route into tokenized securities alongside its iAssets suite of synthetic perpetual markets tied to equities. Previous synthetic equity markets on Injective have recorded billions of dollars in daily trading volume, including products linked to major technology stocks.
Buyback and technicals set up a $6 breakout test
Supply dynamics provide a second tailwind. Under IIP-617, ecosystem revenue buys INJ before the tokens are permanently removed from circulation; separate reports put Wednesday's allocation above $168,000, a figure Injective has not independently confirmed. On the daily chart, Aroon Up sits at 92.86 percent against Aroon Down at 50 percent, while Accumulation/Distribution has turned higher from August lows near -214.88 million, above its 21-period average of about -218.89 million.
Williams %R at -4.87 sits deep in overbought territory above -20, raising the risk of consolidation after the sharp run. Resistance beyond $6.01 sits near $6.50, then the June peak at $7.00-$7.20. On the downside, the 4-hour Donchian midpoint near $5.30 offers the first support, with $4.80-$5.00 and the $4.58 lower boundary in focus on a deeper pullback.
The setup ties INJ's near-term path to whether the SEC registration translates into actual tokenized-securities volume. If institutional flows follow the regulatory rails, the buyback-driven supply cut could lift upside toward $7; if adoption stalls, the overbought reading leaves room for a pullback toward $5.30.
