Dogecoin's 26% weekly surge has pushed the meme coin to a critical inflection point at $0.09, where a confirmed breakout could open a path toward $0.10 and beyond.

Dogecoin rose 26% in seven days to $0.09196 as of 13:25 UTC on Aug. 25, retesting $0.10 resistance with a $15.27 billion market cap.
"Around 30 billion DOGE changed hands near $0.081, making the area a major on-chain support base beneath the current recovery," Ali Martinez, an independent crypto analyst, said on X.
The move follows a daily trendline breakout out of a demand zone, with price now retesting that breakout shelf between $0.0888 and $0.0902. Daily RSI reads 76.40 against a moving average of 61.58, indicating the setup is stretched. Trading volume reached $1.148 billion over 24 hours, keeping DOGE among the most liquid large-cap tokens, according to CoinGecko data.
The key level now is $0.09. Holding above this area keeps bulls in control and the breakout structure valid, with the next resistance pocket at $0.094-$0.096 followed by the psychological barrier at $0.10. A clean move through $0.10 would confirm a new bullish phase, with continuation targets toward $0.12-$0.14.
Weekly Descending Triangle Nears Resolution
On the weekly chart, DOGE is pressing against the upper boundary of a descending triangle that has compressed since the last cycle top. The pattern's flat support sits near $0.0686, while the falling trendline is being tested by this week's candle. A confirmed weekly close above the trendline would open a multi-year path toward the $0.30-$0.48 zone, though that projection depends on a broader crypto bull market.
Sell Wall at $0.10 Remains the Key Test
Analyst CW8900's chart shows DOGE moving into a concentrated sell wall after the breakout attempt. The first cluster of supply sits around $0.084-$0.086, with the larger resistance at $0.098-$0.10. On-chain data from Ali Charts shows relatively lighter resistance above $0.081 before the larger supply concentrations around $0.1552 and $0.1774, which become increasingly relevant if DOGE establishes acceptance above $0.10.
On the downside, a break below $0.09 would weaken immediate momentum, while a drop to $0.081 would put the broader bullish recovery under pressure. The higher-timeframe structure from analyst Crypto Surf shows DOGE holding above a broad historical support region around $0.07-$0.081 while pressing against a long-term descending trendline.
For traders, the setup is binary: hold $0.09 and the breakout extends toward $0.10 and potentially $0.12-$0.14, or lose it and the retest turns into a range-bound grind between $0.081 and $0.10. Bitcoin's trend and broader risk appetite across crypto set the ceiling for any DOGE breakout, while unlimited supply issuance remains a structural headwind. The September outlook hinges on whether buyers can absorb the sell-side liquidity stacked near $0.10.
