Centrifuge closed Q2 2026 with $1.6 billion in total value locked, landing strategic partnerships with Coinbase, New York Life Investment Management, Ethena, Kraken Institutional and OKX that cemented its position as a leading real-world asset tokenization protocol.
"Centrifuge has become the infrastructure layer connecting traditional asset managers to on-chain capital markets," Lucas Vogelsang, co-founder and chief executive officer at Centrifuge, said.
New York Life Investment Management, with approximately $807 billion in assets under management, brought its first tokenized fund to the blockchain through Centrifuge — the U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond strategy, one of the first high-yield bond strategies to operate natively on a decentralized network. Coinbase designated Centrifuge as its preferred tokenization infrastructure and took an equity stake in CFG, extending the platform's tokenization framework to Base, Coinbase's layer-2 network. Ethena selected Centrifuge as its strategic tokenization partner following a formal request-for-proposal process and allocated $250 million to JAAA as one of the first real-world assets to back USDe.
The quarter's institutional inflows signal that tokenized credit and treasury products are moving beyond pilot phases into production-scale deployments. Centrifuge's holder base grew 16% to 10,988 CFG holders, even as TVL slipped 6% from the prior quarter. The protocol's Janus Henderson Treasury Fund (JTRSY) now holds $880.7 million, while its JAAA CLO fund holds $689.2 million, according to rwa.xyz data. Version V3.2 completed its audits with the Onchain Portfolio Manager as its central feature, allowing asset managers to administer a single vault with positions in tokenized Treasuries, credit, equities and onchain loans.
Ethena's $250M Allocation and Grove Basin's $1B Commitment
Ethena's $250 million allocation to JAAA marks one of the largest single deployments of stablecoin reserves into tokenized credit. Grove Basin committed a $1 billion credit line for instant JTRSY redemptions, offering daily exits to USDC around the clock with no waiting queue. Kraken Institutional incorporated JAAA as its first real-world asset in qualified custody.
The ERC-7540 standard, co-developed by Centrifuge, was incorporated into OpenZeppelin's community contracts repository, becoming a public building block for the DeFi ecosystem. Centrifuge's tokenized products — deSPXA, deJTRSY and deJAAA — are now available on Uniswap, Euler, Sushi and Grvt, with the most important assets already operating on Monad.
The broader RWA tokenization sector held $34.67 billion in distributed value as of July 21, down from a $35.2 billion peak on July 10, according to rwa.xyz. Tokenized Treasuries remain the largest category at $15.86 billion, with Centrifuge's JTRSY ranking among the top treasury products. The pullback from the July 10 peak shows how quickly capital rotates between treasury products, credit instruments and equities as yields shift week to week, but the institutional infrastructure being built now — from qualified custody to instant redemptions — suggests the foundation for larger allocations is already in place.
