US-listed altcoin exchange-traded funds excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum drew nearly $90 million in the week ended Aug. 21, led by XRP's $39.78 million intake.
Data from SoSoValue shows XRP products extended their positive weekly flow streak to six weeks, while Solana funds logged an eighth consecutive week of inflows.
Solana funds added $28.34 million, Chainlink products drew $13.35 million, and Hyperliquid ETFs attracted $3.89 million. Spot Bitcoin funds pulled in $1.92 billion and Ethereum products added $697 million, for a combined $2.61 billion — the strongest week of 2026.
The flows mark the broadest institutional participation in the rally so far, with XRP climbing roughly 50 percent to as high as $1.60 and Solana briefly trading above $100 for the first time since February.
XRP and Solana reclaim May flow highs
XRP's $39.78 million intake extended its run of positive weekly flows to six, bringing in about $72 million over that period. Cumulative net inflows since the US products launched reached roughly $1.55 billion, while weekly trading volume hit a record $271.74 million. The last comparable surge came in the week ended May 15, when XRP funds drew about $60.5 million.
Solana funds have built an even longer streak. Their $28.34 million intake marked an eighth consecutive positive week and was the largest since roughly $58 million entered the products in mid-May. The eight-week run has brought in about $56.3 million, lifting cumulative net inflows to around $1.19 billion.
SOL's move above $100 last week returned it to levels last seen in February, though it surrendered part of the advance over the weekend, slipping to around $93. The token's market value increased by about $11.44 billion over seven days, according to CoinGecko data.
Hyperliquid gets a Washington boost
Hyperliquid funds attracted $3.89 million for a third consecutive positive week, taking inflows over the three-week stretch to nearly $10 million. Cumulative net inflows now stand near $287 million, while assets in the products climbed above $350 million as HYPE rallied to a record of about $82 before easing to $79.
President Donald Trump used an Aug. 19 White House meeting with crypto executives to highlight efforts to establish a legal route for Hyperliquid to operate in the US, adding a policy driver to the move. Trump also urged Congress to advance crypto market-structure legislation.
Chainlink funds recorded their strongest resurgence since launch, with $13.35 million in weekly inflows — the largest since the products attracted about $48 million during their debut week. Cumulative net inflows reached roughly $142 million. LINK gained about 22 percent during the week, touching $12 for the first time since January before retreating to $11.40.
Demand further down the ETF market remained modest. Avalanche products attracted about $1.3 million, Hedera funds drew roughly $848,000, and Dogecoin ETFs added $654,416.
The roughly $90 million entering those products remains small beside the $2.61 billion absorbed by Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. Still, longer inflow streaks and sharply higher token prices marked the broadest participation in the rally so far, with the institutional bid spreading deeper into the crypto market after months in which allocations outside the two largest cryptocurrencies were comparatively subdued. ETF shares reopen Monday, and whether flows follow price will test the durability of the move.
