This theme owns US-listed robotics, built around a hard fact: only a handful of American companies earn meaningful revenue from robots today. Two do it at scale — Intuitive Surgical, where surgical systems and instruments are the entire business, and Symbotic, which builds warehouse robotics systems for Walmart and others. Teradyne owns Universal Robots and MiR, the global leaders in collaborative arms and mobile robots. Ouster supplies the lidar and 3D perception robots use to see. Regal Rexnord, Timken, Allient and Novanta supply the motors, reducers and precision motion inside robot joints. Agility Robotics, arriving through a SPAC merger, is the only pure humanoid play. Harmonic Drive and Nabtesco in Tokyo dominate the reducer market, which has no US equivalent. What drives it: factory automation, warehouse capex and humanoid production ramps. The main risk is that outside the first two names, robot revenue remains small relative to valuation.
